Due to its abundance of history, culture, and gastronomy, Portugal receives approximately 10 million visits from visitors each year (and growing). You'll never run out of things to do when you add breathtaking landscape to that list. The capital, Lisbon, is situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, and the nation is well known for its charming cities. Traditional fado music resonating through the quaint cobblestone alleyways and pastelarias dishing up delectable pastéis de nata (custard pastries) highlight its unique culture.

Take tram 28 for a distinctive approach to see the lovely old town. Tram 28 is one of the few vintage tram lines that is still in service in Lisbon. The second-largest city, Porto, has a lovely medieval center, walks along the shore, and bistros that serve "Francesinha," a local specialty that is a classic sandwich packed with cheese and meat. There are a lot of well-known beaches nearby, like the picturesque beaches of Gaia or Espinho. There are countless hotels, B&Bs, and apartments around the nation. Additionally, a range of guest homes and distinctive lodging options can be found in restored stone cottages, farmhouses, or lovely manor buildings.
